What makes Curtis stand out is his building process: “I build, in my head, from the bottom up, not the top down,” he explains. “I literally start 4 feet underground, and build up from there.” His first steps are determining what kind of support needs to go underneath the pool, to ensure the best possible finished product. He begins with the elements that most people overlook until much later, because he is committed to perfection in each and every one of his projects. Before he even begins to design the visible parts of the swimming pool, he has the entire structure planned out. Before starting a project, Curtis can be observed walking around a client’s backyard—planning, mapping, mentally building.
It is this incredible ability that makes Curtis and his work unique.
