Swimming Pools-Brighton, MI

Take a look at how this back yard was transformed into an awesome backyard pool environment by @askthepoolguy Al Curtis. The homeowner here liked the feel of castles, so the theme for the yard became castle ruins.

The pool was built as a vinyl liner pool, with a contour step in the deep end. The multiple seating areas were accessed through various gates and archways. Antique stained glass windows were built into the castle walls, and back lit for night time ambiance.

The pool coping is a tumbled bluestone, and the fountain/waterfall has a sheer descent waterfall with a mural behind it. The equipment on this pool features a Pentair filter, pump, heater, and salt generating system. Day or night, this pool project located in Brighton, MI, is one of the Pool Guy, Al Curtis’ favorites. The liner pattern used by Kafko Mfg. is the Cayman Tile/Reef Liner, one of our favorites to go with the natural stone used.

The patio is a colored/textured concrete patio. Reclaimed barn wood was also used to create a storage area – and a family crest was created by our concrete sculpture artist for the finishing touch on the accent walls.

The retaining walls feature stone, wood, and a variety of inset items for a unique and custom look and feel to this highly custom backyard swimming pool here in Michigan. Even with the intricate details on this pool, a custom safety cover manufactured by Merlin Industries keeps the back yard safe and well protected during the winter months here in Michigan.
