Having friendly chickens that we can interact with has been a goal of ours. Since they’ve had an extended childhood inside, we’ve gotten a daily opportunity to interact with them. We make sure to sit with them and pet them/handle them so they become comfortable with us. Of course they still get skittish, and when one does, they all do. We’ve had some outside on the super warm spring days for a chance to scratch in our safe enclosed chicken tractor. They are certainly large, dusty, and stinky! (Unless we’ve just cleaned and refreshed the coop which we do try to do daily!)

HI, I’m Sandi and I suppose you could refer to me as the “mother clucker” of the group. You’ll also be introduced to many of our #legendarygoldens along the way. Emme I believe fancies herself the chicken keeper. She is the first one to join us anytime we do anything with the chicks.
